PCSI Swimming Pool Operator Ft Knox, Kentucky in Fort Knox, Kentucky
Description
PCSI is looking for a Swimming Pool Operator in Ft. Knox, Kentucky! In this role, you will operate and maintain swimming pool and auxiliary equipment, fill pools and tests water for proper chlorine content, regulate feeders and put in prescribed amounts of soda ash and chlorine according to specific instructions to purify water, checks heating and pumping equipment, and adjusts or makes minor repairs using mechanic's hand tools and perform receiving functions of the contract. This position will report to the Utilites Supervisor and is based out of Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Typical work hours will be split shift, as needed to maintain pool Monday-Sunday from, 7:00 am- 3:30 or later, depending on season and staffing needs.

Base pay of $17.20 depending upon experience.

What You'll Do as Swimming Pool Operator:
Operates and maintains swimming pool and auxiliary equipment, fills pool and tests water for proper chlorine content, regulates feeders and puts in prescribed amounts of soda ash and chlorine according to specific instructions to purify water, checks heating and pumping equipment, and adjusts or makes minor repairs using mechanic's hand tools.
Changes chlorine tanks, as required, removes leaves and other debris from water, using net, cleans bottom and sides of pool, using such aids as underwater vacuum cleaner, hose, brush, detergent, acid solution, and sander.
Inspects and replaces loose or damaged tile, cleans and repairs filter system.
Reports emergencies or unusual malfunctions to superior and prepares report of materials used and work performed.
Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
High School Diploma or GED.
1-3 years related technical or practical experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
Demonstrated ability to perform multiple assignments concurrently.
Demonstrated ability for long-term planning.
Must possess the ability to develop a positive working relationship with customers and employees.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Other Requirements:
Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Must Possess current Kentucky State Driver License (Class A or B), if required for the equipment and vehicles operated, and maintain a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
