MDW ASSOCIATES LLC Technical Security Specialist (COMSEC/INFOSEC) in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia

MDW Associates is seeking a TechnicalSecurity Specialistto support the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. The position is fully remote.

Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Gaining necessary access to Power BI, PDREP, CAMS, PMC, Program Support Application, WAWF reporting, FMTS/UMR, etc., and other tools/systems used by the applicable DCMA office.
  • Coordinating between the applicable DCMA office and FB organizations.
  • Answering CMO questions and providing assistance on how to read, use, and interpretate data.
  • Pulling QA-RWM numbers per CMO and providing them with the overarching view on FTE numbers and possible discrepancies with PDREP Data.
  • Providing CMOs training on RWM
  • Participating in agency RWM validation and additive request and approval process.
  • Requires scheduling and providing Foreign Travel Briefings.
  • Verify and maintain SF701, 702, AFCOMSEC Form 16, along with Access Lists for building security zone and electronic systems.
  • Personnel Accountability Assessment System Support (PAASSUP) Ticket: submit remedy tickets that require attention to the functionality of the system or require personnel action to ensure data accuracy.
  • Provide INFOSEC and OPSEC support functions for DCMA sites located within Central Region and all AIMO sites.
  • Track security equipment related to the INFOSEC program (i.e. security containers, shredders, locks, etc.). Facilitate replacement and disposition of equipment. Coordinate and facilitate the transfer of equipment such as security containers. Coordinate processing and facilitate the procurement requests for shredders, security containers, locks, and forms.
  • Assist in the update and revision of Information Security, Operations Security manuals, and any other policy manuals and documents.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in the technical security industry
  • Previous experience with US Government system of record DISS (previous experience with JPAS +) and contractor information management systems
  • Working knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's) and supplement Information system security experience
  • Knowledge with DoDM 5200.01 Volume I-IV, DoDM 5205.07 I-III and AR380-381
  • Implementing of SOPs and guidance pertaining to management and execution of sensitive activities which involve multiple commands and activities
  • Implementing security plans and security training for supporting personnel
  • Professional certifications (e.g. ISP, Security+, etc.) preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Candidates for this position must possess a high school degree
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

Clearance Requirement(s):

  • Candidates for this position must be eligible for a US DoD Secret Clearance (requires US Citizenship)
  • Candidates with a current Secret clearance preferred
