U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in Fort Eustis, Virginia

Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The successful selectee may serve as the Deputy Director of the Aviation Integration Directorate, Product Director, or Deputy Product Manager within the Aviation and Missile Command Aviation Integration Directorate. Responsibilities Manage systems involving a wide range of engineering and scientific specialty areas, rapidly advancing technology and critical areas of development beyond the current state of the art, as well as critical non-developmental programs. Full responsibility for intensive management of the overall program and providing leadership. Maintains continuous cognizance of all aspects of assigned projects. Establishes priorities, maintains and controls all project milestones, and takes action to ensure that all milestones are met or that workarounds are in place to counteract schedule and resource problems. Coordinates with subordinate team leaders, supervisors, group/committee chairs and other team members to oversee and direct all efforts. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing the development, integration, testing and airworthiness qualification of aircraft systems and testing of Software (SW) systems or SW applications to ensure they are meeting operational requirements; 2) Collaborating with operational customers from various government agencies to assure the accomplishment of program goals and objectives; and 3) Overseeing the development of material solutions for assigned systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13) position in the federal service. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule. Some positions may have control points. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
