U.S. Army Cyber Command Information Operations Planner in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Ft. Eisenhower, Georgia. Responsibilities Serves as an Information Operations Planner within the J-39 Information Operations (IO) Directorate of the Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (Army) (JFHQ-C (A)). The position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and integrating IO with a full-range of cyberspace operations. Works under the supervision of the J39 IO Chief and Deputy IO Chief. Serves as a principal action officer and project leader in the planning and development of JFHQ-C (A) IO requirements, organizational structure, and operational conduct to Service, Joint, and USCYBERCOM planning processes and operations. Provides IO expertise support to JFHQ-C (A), USCENTCOM, USAFRICOM, USNORTHCOM, and USCYBERCOM relating to both near term and long-term planning efforts. Provides IO expertise in the analysis of Service, Joint, and Component IO impacts and doctrinal issues in the development of planning guides and the other plans and orders in support of JFHQ-C (A)’s role to USCYBERCOM. Analyzes operational plans and orders to ensure command essential elements of information are protected. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by Assisting with planning and developing Information Operations requirements to support crisis action planning Identifying, tracking, measuring, and updating the command strategic campaign plan ensuring each campaign objective supports the command's missions, vision, goals, and objectives coordinating with other agencies within the area of responsibility to identify equipment, system, tools, and manpower requirements for operational and contingency plans. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information If you are a current federal career/career-conditional employee, you will be placed on an excepted appointment. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Incumbent (or Selectee) is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program dated 15 February 2023.
