Proposed Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday to include nights and weekends as needed.
During the training period the position will be fully in office and the possibility of 3 days in office and 2 days remote will be evaluated following successful completion of training.
Position Summary:
The Data Center Services II engineer reports to the Director of Information Technology and is responsible for the support and maintenance of all enterprise server, storage and telecommunication systems for HHHN and its staff. This role will also work to support our IS Security staff in project implementation, and daily maintenance around new and existing security initiatives. Also work with the O365 Specialist to support any Microsoft cloud initiatives. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Responsible for supporting enterprise system operations, system programming and special projects related to enterprise server hardware, server operating systems, storage systems, and networks. Including system configuration, troubleshooting, security, resource monitoring, reporting, documentation and the development of specialized programs.
Ability to work with the security staff to remediate any assigned recognized security vulnerabilities.
Will participate in the rotating 24/7 on call support system.
Travel to HHHN site locations to provide onsite support when necessary.
Log all requests in the enterprise ticketing system, responds to requests in a timely manner, and follow through on reported problems until satisfactorily resolved.
Maintain vehicles and HHHN equipment in a professional and responsible manner.
Works effectively with hardware and software vendors.
Maintain clean and organized Data Centers.
Installs and correctly sets up equipment requested.
Provides technical support to other IT staff when needed.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions:
Associate degree in computer science and at least 4 years related experience supporting an enterprise Data Center and Microsoft Active Directory environment or 6 years supporting an enterprise Data Center and Microsoft Active Directory environment and comparable certification(s) Comptia A+, MCSA, MCSE
Minimum 4 years’ experience with Group policy configuration and management.
Minimum 4 years’ experience with management of Storage arrays and data pools.
Minimum 4 years’ experience with BC/DR solutions their configurations and management
Prior experience with Hyper-converge solutions recommended but not required.
Experience in infrastructure support of phone systems, server operating systems, virtualized environments, mobile devices, Microsoft active directory and O365, security and applications.
Experience and familiarity with an enterprise change control process.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work based on critical impact.
Capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or orally and has good phone skills.
The pay rate for this position is $72,000/annually.
