The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at Colorado State University ( CSU ) offers a curriculum that integrates exceptional classroom learning and in-depth engineering practice for an unparalleled educational experience. Made up of 46 faculty members, 13 staff members, 948 undergraduate students, and 138 graduate students, ME is one of the largest departments on CSU’s campus. Position Summary

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University ( CSU ) is seeking applications for Research Scientists. The selected individuals will work in Sustainability Analysis and the Center for Electric Propulsion and Plasma Engineering ( CEPPE ). These positions have the possibility of renewal depending on performance and availability of funds.

Required Job Qualifications

Research Scientists/Scholars I:

• Professional, post-baccalaureate (or equivalent) experience in STEM field;

• Demonstrated ability to produce publications; and

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Research Scientists/Scholars II:

• Doctorate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering (or a closely related field);
