System One Quality Technician II in Fort Collins, Colorado

Job Title: Quality Technician II

Location: Fort Collins, CO

Schedule: M-F, First Shift

Type: Contract with possible extension

Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspections on finished goods, parts, and receiving inspections on parts, resins, and tooling where applicable.

  • Monitors the quality in the facility and from suppliers or manufacturers for oral consumer, oral professional, and shower product categories. Collaborates with Purchasing and Production when issues are identified and proposes resolutions to those issues.

  • Continuously improves knowledge on quality concepts, software, and tools to drive product and process improvements.

  • Coordinates actions when non-conformances are identified including ensuring non-conformances are properly documented, training production staff on rationale behind the non-conformance, and working with Purchasing on CAPA at suppliers.

  • Responsible for tracking and updating calibration records to include ensuring all dates are current and proper resources are scheduled in a timely manner to maintain calibration dates.

  • Supports Site Quality Head and QMS Document Control Specialist with document reviews and digital uploads.

  • Supports Quality Team during any QMS audits (e.g. ISO, FDA, Internal) and ensures compliance across systems, processes, and documentation.

    Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in science/engineering or specialized quality training, plus 3 – 5 years’ experience with inspection/receiving inspection in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

  • Able to determine part acceptability by performing mechanical and visual inspections with good judgment.

  • Experience with document management systems, quality agreements, and other quality documentation.

  • Accustomed to working conditions in a warehouse environment including noise levels, dust, odors, associated chemicals, and exposure to high temperatures.

  • Able to use Personal Computers and applicable software efficiently.

  • Must be able to understand and update collection plans in Oracle.

  • Must have knowledge of safe lifting procedures. Must be able to safely lift 40 pounds plus on occasion.
