Production Engineer II

Position title: Production Engineer II Reports to: Production Engineering Manager Department: Operations Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, On-site

As we develop a new generation of products, we are looking for a passionate, hands-on Production Engineer II who will help champion this effort.

In-Situ's Production Engineer will lead operational best practices in a Lean Manufacturing environment. This role will develop systems and processes used in the manufacture and test of In-Situ's products. The Production Engineer will drive continuous improvements for safety, quality, delivery, and cost using lean principles and tools. The Production Engineering team consists of a broad range of engineering roles including Technicians, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial engineers. The Production Engineer will support In-Situ's operations including Production/Manufacturing, New Product Introduction, Service and Repair, and In-Situ's Rental department.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for production cell uptime, prioritizing quality or material concerns that limit production. Responsible for production cell design and maintenance including manufacturing fixture design and fabrication. Engage with production engineering team and quality personnel to manage In-Situ's Material Review Board to discover root cause of quality issues and drive down scrap. Responsible for equipment calibration within production cells. Production cell co-ownership with production leads. Participate in Gross Margin Improvement initiatives that improve operational efficiencies and drive lower material and labor costs. Enthusiastically participate in In-Situ's change management and Scrum methodologies.

Position Qualifications Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States of America. Proficient in problem solving skills and implementing root cause countermeasures based on data and facts. Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly process information. Undergraduate degree, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, design, product management, technical support, and lab personnel. At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred. Skills A keen sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize. Able to synthesize information from ambiguous situations, determine course of action, and progress work to closure. Willingness to take on a wide variety of responsibilities, being personally responsible for results. Embrace change and challenge the status quo. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High regard for both internal and external customer needs. Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 3D CAD experience desired (SolidWorks preferred).Working Environment/Physical Activities This role is on-site, 5 days per week, in a Lean Manufacturing environment utilizing machines and materials, and depends on direct and daily communication with production personnel. Hybrid/remote work is not available for this role. General office environment with time spent each day in production areas and with cross functional teams. This role may require occasional travel (up to 10%). Total Rewards Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with m rket data and internal comps. Salary Range: $75,000-105,000 Additional Compensation: Participation in a Company-sponsored variable compensation plan.
