POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a Senior Role responsible for leading technical development and support for iPro for Advanced Energy. iPro is the in house developed PLM solution used across various sites in Advanced Energy

This role will take ownership of iPro technical details, covering aspects of iPro technical development, from system architecture to development standards, to application of new development technologies. This role also will be engaged in the End user support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and Support for iPro

  • Works closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and helps translate into technical requirements for the development team

  • Plans and documents technical specifications for features or system design

  • Designs, develops and configures new function modules in iPro to meet business process and application requirements

  • Works closely with other team members in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications

  • Provides sustaining support to iPro with enhancement releases and data maintenance adhering to IT Change Management Processes

  • Assists/Leads in project development and other ad-hoc assignments

  • Provides user training

  • Supports rollout of iPro to other sites

  • Supports the rollout of iPro to new sites engaging process reviews and data analysis

  • Coaches local end users and provides timely and effective support after rollout

  • Continuously coaches and develops the team in various aspects, including learning of new development technologies and platforms

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.). Works under general supervision

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio

  • VB.Net

  • SQL

  • HTML and related web technologies

Developmental Skills:

  • Develop New Applications/modules/functions

  • Support Existing Applications

  • Technical and User Documentation

Functional Skills:

  • Analyzing Information such as Requirements, Enhancements and Problems such as bugs and issues

  • Teamwork - Collaborate and work with team members

  • Problem Solving skills

  • Ability to learn new technologies and be updated

  • Ability to test web applications

  • Follow Project and Team guidelines

  • Good presentation and communication skills

EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Knowhow of Engineering business process within an organization is required

Desirable

  • Education/knowledge of Product Life cycle Management solutions

EDUCATION:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or major in in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent education

Desirable

  • Education/knowledge of SAP will be a plus

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
