Business Development Manager, Australia & New Zealand COMPANY OVERVIEW: MACE is an Australian company founded in 1968. DESCRIPTION: The Business Development Manager, Australia & New Zealand, is a senior sales position focused on growing revenue for In-Situ's business throughout those markets. This position will take the lead in driving In-Situ sales & market position within targeted countries and within government agencies, as well as managing and developing distributors, re-sellers and system integrators in growing sales within the countries of Australia and New Zealand. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop extensive knowledge and background in technical water level and quality applications, including greater experience with monitoring systems and how customers use the instrumentation. Understand market trends, including new applications and regulations, that can help drive sales in Australia and New Zealand. Gain better understanding of Australian/New Zealand markets, customers and competitors, leading to enhanced identification and development of the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators. Acquire new customers through identification, prioritization, strategic analysis, and sales plan development/execution. Lead the identification of key players in each priority market and customer as well as build relationships with decision makers and thought leaders. Provide sales management and the executive team with scheduled analysis of markets and trends, competitive environment updates, advancements in technologies, and In-Situ's revenue performance in the region. Increase sales and profits in Australia/New Zealand and focus on meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars. Manage local distributors, re-sellers and system integrators to coordinate activities to maximize sales revenue including the training and development of the sales people who work for distribution. Travel with distribution sales force to improve their selling and territory management skills and effectiveness. Forecast sales and ensure targets are being met on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Work closely with Product Management, technical staff, and distributors to develop sales and growth strategies for each market. Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's Salesforce CRM. Generate sales to new customers through effective prospecting. Create and deliver effective presentations and proposals to prospective customers. Create and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals to existing customers and prospects. Work with distributors, re-sellers and system integrators on market specific growth initiatives and the creation and sharing of effective sales techniques and presentations. Identify marketing campaigns and targeted trade shows to attend & trade organizations to network with. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE: BS/BA degree in business, marketing or related science with strong science/engineering background or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training. Five or more years of experience as a sales professional in a technology driven organization. Experience in effectively selling in Australia and/or New Zealand. SKILLS: Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and communications with customers and In-Si u/MACE partners. Ability to effectively manage distributors, re-sellers and system integrators. Proficient in the use of PC-based application software including Microsoft Office applications. Experience in using a Customers Relationship Management (CRM) system. Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as alignment with market data and internal comps.
