HP Inc. BIOS Program Manager High Performance Workstation Computing in Fort Collins, Colorado

Position: Workstations R&D BIOS Program Manager (Expert Engineer): We are looking for a talented technical project manager with at least 5 years of experience, working with Software or Firmware projects and relevant industries. You will help lead the high-performance Workstation BIOS team to deliver innovative technologies, architectures, and computing systems to the market. Upholding the quality and security standards that HP high performance Workstation customers rely on.

Key Responsibilities: As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Represent the BIOS team in the various program teams.

  • Manage the release of BIOS software for actively supported platforms.

  • Manage the relationship with partner teams and organizations.

  • Coordinate with the factories to make sure their needs are met.

  • Serve as the first contact for all support issues coming from the support teams or directly from customers.

  • Plan feature enablement for all new platforms.

  • Provide guidance and support to other teams on requests related to BIOS features.

  • Responsible for all BIOS development deadlines.

  • Guide and advise BIOS team in their development efforts.

  • Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

  • Drives best practices through documentation control policies and procedures.

  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related discipline, with a strong emphasis on software development.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience working in multifaceted software projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply them effectively.

  • Effective management of project schedules and deadlines.

  • Capacity to manage competing deadlines and priorities.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills targeting developers, management, and customers.

  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is 118,050.00-171,200.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
