About the Position: Serves as a Senior Logistician and Technical Manager for the Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB)Current Operations (OPS). Advises the AFSB leadership and staff, and subordinate elements on technical program matters. Responsibilities Provide support in establishing, maintaining, and improving upon the readiness partnership of the AFSBn/LRC, field commander, and the national logistics support complex. Analyze and evaluate assessments and provides input for final reports which define findings, problems, resolutions and actions required. Research for logistics advice, assistance, and training to provide to all echelons in various logistics areas. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) evaluating logistics performance to detect developing trends and substandard performance of the programs; 2) providing analysis regarding recommendations for process, policy, and procedural modification or implementation; and 3) using applicable regulations to develop corrective actions for logistics problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
