Position Description
Pay: $17.85

Work Schedule: Full-Time; 2nd Shift
This full-time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. OBJECTIVE:
To assist the Supervisor by assigning employees their daily duties, overseeing their work and assisting in the upkeep of assigned areas. Lead and train others to use various janitorial equipment and supplies and perform specific assigned janitorial duties while ensuring contract standards are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
HIGH School Diploma or Equivalent. A valid Colorado driver’s license without a history of violations is also required with the ability to travel when required. Must be 18 years or older.

Must conduct self in a professional manner conducive to a product work environment; demonstrate good judgment, responsibility and initiative. Should possess effective interpersonal skills including the ability to lead people, work cooperatively, to organize work and make good decisions. The incumbent must maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the work setting. The Lead I must be able to work with people with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions. You will report to work prepared to accomplish duties as assigned and consistently communicate areas of concern or issues in an appropriate and timely manner to the Supervisor for resolution. Maintain open communication at all times in relationship with supervisors, work leaders and customers as well as perform other duties as assigned.
The incumbent must be able to work some weekends and holidays, work flexible shifts and pass background check.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
• Provide guidance to assigned employees and trainees who work within the department to accomplish the upkeep of contract requirements.
• Ensure all Statement of Work (SOW) are completed prior to the end of each shift, reporting all areas that need to be changed in the SOW to Supervisor. The Lead I will remain with employees until all tasks are completed.
• Know how to work with Quality Inspectors, Building Managers, and customers in all buildings.
• Train assigned personnel on the use of the various equipment and supplies, assign work to the most appropriate personnel and control all duty-related activities of assigned personnel.
• Perform all necessary janitorial duties assigned during the shift in accordance with the Statement of work, quality procedures are adhered to, conduct a physical inventory of janitorial supplies on a weekly basis and submit it to the Supervisor..
• Attend training as required for job specific requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
** Ability to qualify for a Fort Carson Installation Access Control Card.
Background checks are required for specific projects, it is the responsibility of Contractor to conduct a 7 year criminal background check on each employee working on a project and forward the results to the designated Utilities’ representative. A 3rd party vendor shall conduct these checks. Endorsed vendors are Background Information Services ( www.bsi.com ), S2 Verify ( www.s2verify.com ), or Hire Right ( www.hireright.com ). The minimum acceptable background checks required by government entities are comprised of a 7 year Statement of History (encompassing full name, alias used, residences, education, employment, citizenship, and military history), a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) record check, a National Criminal check, and a National Sex offender check. The designated representative will forward all the required documents of the background check listed above to the Security Planning & Compliance team for review. A minimum of ten (10) days must be allowed before an employee may report to work after submitting a background check. Each employee is required to allow both photographs and fingerprints in order to work at any government facilities where background checks are deemed necessary. **
