Amentum Facility Laborer- Exterior Electric in Fort Carson, Colorado

Amentum, a large government contract company is seeking a Facilities Laborer-Exterior Electric. The hourly pay will be $20.57 with an additional $8.34 - $10.96 towards Health and Welfare Benefits.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Facilities Laborer - Exterior Electric performs tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving minor specialized skills primarily in the Electric Shop. This Worker assists in general maintenance and minor repair tasks. Clean floors, walls, ceilings, and picks up around the shop area walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Will be required to use I-Pads for identifying assets and the labeling of assets for the purpose of meeting Performance Work Statement (PWS), and Asset Tagging Requirements.

  2. Perform PWS required, lighting checks at multiple locations on Fort Carson.

  3. Perform PWS required mobile generator checks.

  4. Support the maintenance and repair of exterior lighting systems, traffic lights and intersection signage, pedestrian crossings, school zone flashers, and any exterior electrical issue that falls under the Exterior Electric shop.

  5. Facilities Laborer will be working around but not on different equipment with voltages up to 480 volts with a qualified technician.

  6. Work as a ground person for other employees working in bucket trucks, and digger derrick trucks. This requires working in and around traffic safely, supporting the safety of the employee working in the bucket truck.

  7. Lifting materials and equipment up to 75 lbs.

  8. Supporting Exterior Electric employees while operating different types of lifts which requires successfully completing T&H Services Lift Training Classes.

  9. Cleaning of the Exterior Electric Facilities and vehicles.

  10. This position requires working outdoors daily.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • May be required to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

  • Minium of one year experience in facility laborer field/maintenance.

  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.

  • Must have a valid state driver's license.

  • For positions requiring use of a Company and/or Customer vehicle, must have a safe driving record within the past 36 months, as defined by Company policy.

  • Must be 18yrs of age and must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
