ManTech is seeking a Special Warfare Network Development Course Instructor, Subject Matter Expert III to join our team supporting our growing Defense Sector and Special Operations programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Subject matter expert instructor for the Special Warfare Network Development Course which trains and educates Special Operation Force (SOF) soldiers and select Inter-Agency personnel to design, establish, assess, vet, protect and expand complex indigenous networks in support of Phase I and II sponsored resistance or insurgency.

  • Provides extremely high-level subject matter expertise in Network Development (HUMINT).

  • Responsible for instructing classes, coaching, teaching, and mentoring small groups of SWNDC students.

  • Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems which require doctorate level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.

  • Ability to analyze trends in social media, research targeted social media platforms, study emerging social media tools and observe how often those platforms and tools are used.

  • Responsible for developing realistic regionally aligned practical exercises developed from course of instruction.

  • Designs and prepares course instruction, studies, and related documentation, makes charts and graphs to record results, prepares and delivers presentations, training, and briefings as required.

  • Provide feedback in the form of trip reports, meeting notes, read-outs, etc. following engagements for review by Committee leadership.

  • Be a self-starter, able to take self-initiative to identify skill or knowledge gaps and devise a solution.

  • Comfortable speaking to large classrooms

  • Can communicate instructions effectively.

  • Able to breakdown topics and concepts to better relay them in the simplest form.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years’ experience.

  • Three years of experience conducting strategic planning for special operations within the last ten years; Twelve years of progressive experience in U.S. military special operations or maneuver, fires, and effects units; three years of experience with planning Unconventional Warfare (UW), Foreign Internal Defense (FID), Special Reconnaissance (SR), Direct Action (DA), and special activities concepts in support of geographic Combatant Commander (CCDR) objectives; and five years of experience as a military instructor or education professional at a professional education institution. Must possess knowledge and experience of Social Media platforms and the Open-Source Tools available to conduct Open-Source Research methodologies. Will require being up to date on most recent and emerging collection and development methods, emerging research areas, and potential gaps in current knowledge.

  • Graduate of Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course or complimentary Interagency Course.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred to hold a master’s degree in a field focused on national security, policy, or military history and be a graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), Military War College, qualified in Functional Area 59 (Strategic Planning and Policy), or a corresponding service equivalent.

  • Preferred graduate of Touchstone Course, Army Open Source OS301 or OS302, Berber Hunter or extensive experience in Signature Reduction utilizing MA Systems and conducting Due Diligence of online activities.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Current Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements :

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which involves delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.

  • The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
