Title:

Sustainment Planner

KBR is seeking a skilled sustainment planner to serve as the lead logistics contractor planner and liaison for warfighter exercise (WFX) support and Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO) exercises executed by the 32d AAMDC. This position entails developing effective, robust, reliable, and dynamic exercise-related products that provide Army Air Defense commanders, staff, and units the capability to train in an operationally relevant, live, virtual, and constructive environment that stimulates multi-domain operations from battery to theater level. Additionally, this position will enable and support real world sustainment planning and coordinating in support of LSCO exercises.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as the lead sustainment contractor planner and liaison for WFX planning and execution in support of 32d AAMDC.

  • Support and enable the integration of air and missile defense (AMD) into WFX logistical exercise design and structure in accordance with doctrine and command and G4 guidance.

  • Provide logistical analytical support to plan, prepare, rehearse, conduct, and assess LSCO exercises; table-top exercises, Mission Rehearsal Exercises, Culminating Training Events, Joint Kill Chain Exercises, WFX, and unit sustainment training events.

  • Coordinate, assist, and inform 32d AAMDC G4 and G3 Action Officers as required in the various Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events, including exercise planning, scenario development, and scripting.

  • Direct and oversee the tasking, receipt, tracking, and closure of all internal and external tasks and correspondence.

  • Support the G4 and G3 with the planning and coordination of real-world logistics and sustainment in support of 32d AAMDC LSCO exercises.

  • Provide tactical and technical expertise in logistics to support the design, planning, and execution of LSCO exercises at the Corps, DIV, BDE, and BN levels.

  • Plan, organize, and prepare exercise products to facilitate joint logistics for air and missile defense operations within a LSCO exercise environment.

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and preparing exercise products to facilitate logistics for joint air and missile defense operations, including but not limited to operational orders and supporting annexes, warning orders, and exercise LOG COP.

  • Assist in the production of appropriate higher headquarters-level responses to Training Audience Requests for Information (RFIs) for inter and intra-theater transportation, distribution, supply, munitions, and other sustainment commodity area functions.

  • Support logistics mission command system integration and exercise utilization.

  • Assist in the production of HICOM logistics estimates, mission analysis products, and development of courses of action to support the exercise design and training objectives; plans and synchronizes all activities of the material, supply, services, and movement management operations to ensure adequate CSS concept of support plans, movement plans and operation orders.

  • Attends WFX exercise planning events and prioritize team efforts in support of the exercise development process.

  • Provide Knowledge Management expertise and develops procedures to capture and archive logistical and sustainment lessons learned, best practices, and pertinent data developed throughout the JELC, including exercise design and execution documents and support information.

  • Develop, refine, and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices that support 32d AAMDC LSCO exercises.

  • Maintain familiarity with current and developing U.S./NATO/potential capabilities/tactics.

  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in doctrine, exercise control activities, Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) development/execution, and the design/construct development for identified training events, exercises, and CTEs.

  • Performs other tasks in support of the Joint Training Program, such as developing plans, knowledge management, doctrine review, conference support, and related administrative assignments.

Skills Required:

  • Must be knowledgeable in JELC, exercise design, and training management.

  • Must be knowledgeable in the Joint Planning processes, operations process, ADA sustainment support at echelons, to include missile distribution and resupply.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have excellent organizational, research, writing and communications skills to develop relationship with the customers and to understand and recognize their training requirements.

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, establish priorities, organize work, and maintain performance under pressure and with multiple conflicting deadlines.

  • Knowledge and skills to perform job functions.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must have SECRET Security clearance.

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree.

  • 6+ years of experience in logistics operations, with 2+ years supporting ADA units at Battalion or higher level.

  • 2+ years of exercise design and JELC experience preferred.
