Chouteau County Sheriff's Office Dispatcher 911 / Communications Officer in Fort Benton, Montana

Chouteau County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Communications Officers. Examples of daily work duties include receipt of emergency telephone calls; prioritization of emergency telephone calls; preparation and entry of official public safety reports in a Computer Aided Dispatch system; entry and retrieval of data; radio procedure and operation. The Chouteau County 911 Communication Center is a 24 hour a day operation; as a result, hours and days of work will vary. Compensation: Hourly wage with shift differential pay with benefits, including health/life insurance, retirement plan, sick leave, paid holidays, and vacation leave per year. Requirements: Within one year of hire, the applicant must complete the Public Safety Basic Telecommunicator's course at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and obtain credentials to access criminal justice information in accordance with the Montana Department of Justice. Minimum Qualifications. Will also be required to obtain CPR certification, and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) qualification during training. This position requires a minimum of high school graduation or equivalent.
