The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Test Engineer with a strong background in electronics, hardware fabrication, surveillance systems, networking troubleshooting, and systems engineering to play a crucial role in supporting our client at Fort Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing and maintaining electronic components, integrating software and hardware, and executing various systems engineering tasks. You will be responsible for deploying, installing, and maintaining a wide range of surveillance and networking systems, including servers, routers, switches, telecommunications systems, UPS systems, and desktop PC hardware. The successful candidate must be capable of completing complex assignments independently and leading junior engineers. This position may involve occasional travel to other client locations; however, the primary work location will be Fort Belvoir.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, manage, and deploy machines and applications on a virtual platform, utilizing various electro-optic sensors interconnected across multiple network topologies.

  • Develop and execute test procedures to validate both new and existing functionality of electronic systems.

  • Support customers by ensuring successful implementation and integration of software and hardware solutions, meeting their expectations.

  • Establish test scenarios and perform testing to ensure full functionality of applications on different versions, verifying that all technical and business requirements are met.

  • Perform onsite equipment testing and coordinate with other engineers to resolve any issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable).

  • Over three (3) years of experience in electronics, hardware fabrication, and network troubleshooting.

  • Experience in testing mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical/electronic systems.

  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors and occasionally lift objects to 50 lbs.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in the field.

  • Experience providing IT network support, including monitoring and resolving issues with network devices.

  • Working knowledge of CAT 5, CAT 6, and Fiber Optic cable, connectors, and demonstrated capability of fabricating required equipment.

  • Proven ability to work independently and interact directly with clients.

Desired:

  • Experience leading successful software and hardware testing initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience with EO/IR sensor systems and Radars.

  • Familiarity with telecommunications systems and UPS systems.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
