PCSI Quality Control Inspector - Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

PCSI is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to support the Environmental Services team at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital!

The Quality Control Inspector assists the Quality Control Manager or Executive Housekeeper with ensuring site-specific quality control and safety standards are met to in compliance with the contract specifications. This position is responsible for performing inspections and audits based on established quality control processes. The Quality Control Inspector also conducts safety inspections, reports and resolves any compliance issues, and handles document control of Standard Operating Procedures and other quality documents.

We're especially looking for candidates with some experience in hospital housekeeping or environmental services, and a high level of attention to detail. This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and is based in Fort Belvoir, VA. Typical hours for this position are Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:30pm.

Benefits Include:

  • Base pay of $25.00-26.00/hr depending upon experience.

  • Annual bonus of up to 6%.

What You'll Do as a Quality Control Inspector :

  • Perform and document quality control inspections and audits on environmental services work completed by Housekeepers and Floor Technicians to ensure contractual obligations and the site's Quality Control Plan are being met.

  • Maintain and fulfill site-specific quality control, environmental, and/or safety standards to ensure completed work meets contract specifications and any other requirements.

  • Under the direction of the site Quality Control Manager, assist with configuration control of all quality related documents to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and forms.

  • Report any contractual or regulatory compliance issues to the Quality Control Manager and/or Executive Housekeeper, and work to resolve issues quickly.

  • Provide additional support, as directed by the Quality Control Manager. This may include duties outside what may be seen as typical for this type of role.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred.

  • Experience working in Environmental Services in a hospital or other medical setting strongly preferred.

  • 2 years of experience as trainer or supervisor preferred.

  • ISO Auditor training preferred.

  • Experience in an environment that includes workers with disabilities preferred.

  • Government contract experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision.

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written format.

  • Ability to work as a team member.

  • Ability to manage established policies of the Quality Control Manager.

  • Knowledge of web-based inspection systems.

Other Requirements:

  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass criminal and financial background checks to obtain access to work locations. Restrictions vary from site to site.
