Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Forest Park, Illinois. In this role, you will be tasked with various accounting and financial analysis responsibilities for our company. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, with the possibility of remote work after initial training.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the monthly close process

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statement analyses

• Set up and maintain internal controls

• Manage balance sheet account reconciliations

• Analyze and report on job costing monthly

• Complete the billing/invoicing process

• Manage customer receivables

• Prepare and submit customer waivers as needed

• Enter Accounts Payable (AP) invoices into the ERP system and ensure timely payment to suppliers

• Record various cash transfers between companies in ERP system and reconcile monthly

• Collaborate closely with the President to ensure all jobs are accurately recorded

• Assist with the year-end audit process

• Prepare and file sales tax returns on a monthly and quarterly basis

• Prepare credit applications and other requests as needed

• Run and participate in various meetings with key employees. Requirements • Possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated ability in Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient in General Ledger management

• Experience in making Journal Entries

• Familiar with Month End Close procedures

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Pivot Table and VLOOKUP functionalities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Familiarity with accounting software is a plus

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
