ABOUT THE ROLE

The Plant Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and supervising the activities of employees. This position will oversee and manage production employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. In addition, this is an hourly working Supervisor role and will be responsible to operate equipment, and perform general maintenance duties of the site.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

  • Trains and manages production employees on the assigned shift or designated work site.

  • Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.

  • Ensures that employees are at work on time, actively engaged in assigned department activities and conforming to established internal and external safety/environmental/compliance regulations to include DOT and MSHA.

  • Works with various support functions to resolve production problems and assists in troubleshooting. Provides feedback to Maintenance on equipment operation and production effectiveness. Recommends and/or implements various production processes and programs.

  • Responsible for completing production reports pertaining to production Key Performance Indicators, employee performance/conduct and process flow. Responsible for monitoring efficiency and throughput, material use, quality, and inventory.

  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

  • Thorough understanding of production operations and machinery

  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem-solve

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • required

  • 3 years’ equipment operations experience, 1 years’ experience in a leadership role

  • Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to traverse the production facility

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable
