Air National Guard Units PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SCHEDULING) in Forbes AFB, Kansas

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SCHEDULING), Position Description Number D2510000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard. Responsibilities As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-09, you will be responsible for advising, planning and coordinating aircraft maintenance requirements and utilization scheduling between maintenance, operations, and external organizations. Actively participates in the Wing Flying Hour Working Group for planning, scheduling, and execution of the Wing's Flying Hour Allocation process. Verify and reconciles the accuracy of unit flying hour allocations daily with Wing Operations Group and as directed with NGB AVDO and the Flying Hour Analyst. Manages all assigned major commodity areas (Airframe, Engine, Components and Special Projects). Develops, analyzes and evaluates multiple Maintenance Information System(s) (MIS) and various databases reports, charts and graphs to inform senior maintenance management. Actively participates in daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling, and quarterly/yearly planning programs and meetings. Communicate and advise leadership of potential over-utilization conditions. Analyzes and improves repair processes, methods, procedures and standards. Research and determine cause for missed maintenance-related scheduled events and documents findings as required. Develop local procedures to ensure effective and efficient scheduling of engines, support equipment, and develops, writes, and publishes guidance for aircraft document reviews. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements. Telework: ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK" Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E5 through E6 T32 Desired AFSC: 2R271 or Any AFSC must qualify for 2R- with ASVAB general score of 55 of higher. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1 year experience, education or training at the next lower level, preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes.
