Adecco US, Inc. Engineering Technician in Foothill Ranch, California

Adecco is looking for candidates for an Engineering Technician job at Oakley. This is a 3-month temporary assignment opportunity that will allow you to enhance your career while gaining valuable engineering experience.

What will you actually be doing as an Engineering Technician ?

Responsibilities include:

  • Support Industrialization team on transitioning product from initial proof of concept/process through engineering pilots, lab testing and codification.

  • Works with engineers to ensure all designs/processes can meet defined technical requirements. This is done by performing routing and tracking of related materials, samples, and test results through the various levels of development.

  • Run engineering sampling equipment such as the small extrusion line, plaque molder, laser etching machine, lens cutting machines, thin film coating machines, and various paint technologies including hand-spray, pad print, spin, and dip.

  • Ensure proper testing of new and existing lenses and eyewear, documentation of results and posting status to the related stakeholders. Will run quality lab equipment and procedures to evaluate engineering pilot samples for preliminary results.

  • Supports the engineering team with all material transfers needs: procurement, shipments, material prep for engineering builds, and ordering of consumable items.

  • Must have minimum 2 years of related work experience or an Associate Degree in Engineering or Science field.

  • Must be able to understand engineering terminology and basic engineering concepts.

  • Must possess strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency with various instruments and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: plastics injection molding, scratch resistance coatings, vacuum coating deposition, CNC machining, or paint deposition experience or knowledge.

  • SAP, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and/or Creo experience is a plus.

  • Able to speak additional languages such as Spanish is a plus.

Pay Details: $35.05 per hour
