This position works 2 sites and the hours are a total of 24 hours a week.

This position is benefit eligible!

Mondays and Fridays at Plaza A Clinic and Thursdays at the Agnesian Cancer Center. 8am-5pm.

Experience in Cupping, Gua Sha, use of pregnancy pillow and Hot Stone preferred.

Job Summary:

Administers therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interviews patient to determine medical history, condition, desired results and appropriate modality.

• Applies selected modality, concentrating on areas of particular discomfort. Monitors patient's responses to treatment and adjusts, changes or terminates treatment based on feedback.

• Documents patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedbacks, and results.

• Maintains therapy area in a clean, safe, and organized state. Orders supplies as necessary.

• Communicate effectively with referral sources and other health care professionals.

• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constant standing.

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.

• Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

• Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).

• Frequent walking, reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.

• Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

• Occasional lifting/moving patients.

• Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors.

• Occasional driving.

• Rare crawling.

Licenses / Certifications:

Massage Therapist, Licensed - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Massage Therapist - Missouri Board of Therapeutic Massage, Massage Therapist - Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering, Massage Therapist - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
