Mercury Marine’s Global Operations department is a fast paced, dynamic environment that directly contributes to the successful manufacturing and delivery of leading marine engines and components. This position will support Global Operation’s leadership in administrative and operational functions while also supporting the broader function with activities on occasion. This role is often interacting with a wide array of internal and external suppliers, efficiently managing the flow of goods and services which enable the varied operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage schedule and provide support for Vice President, Global Operations and functional leadership including scheduling meetings, arranging travel, processing expense reports and other support functions as needed.

  • Manage purchase order and requisition process including initiating purchase requisitions, verifying supplier notification methods, verifying accuracy, monitoring approval process, submitting Supplier Master File Maintenance requests for new suppliers and closing out blanket purchase orders at year end.

  • Manage all aspects of the Mercury Marine Information Lifecycle Management Process (RMP/ILM), focusing on the primary elements of policy, procedures and retention schedules.

  • Coordinate on-site and off-site centralized records storage requirements and facilities. Ensure safe keeping of all records by utilizing appropriate storage methods and facilities.

  • Communicate, coordinate, and supervise as required the disposition of records. Maintain process and equipment guaranteeing destruction of records and media type. Maintain activity statistics.

  • Working with Accounts Payable, suppliers and/or requesters to process departmental invoices.

  • Purchase Card administration including controlling access to department p-cards, monitoring balances, reconciling monthly statements within Brunswick Accounting practices.

  • Prepare charts/graphs, slide decks and other presentations as needed/required.

  • Provide general administrative support for Global Operations organization regarding questions on company policies and procedures, assist with anniversary celebrations, ordering office supplies and stationery, scheduling interviews, sort and distribute mail, ordering apparel and gifts, etc.

  • Supporting month/quarter/annual financial reporting

  • Supporting creation and implementation of annual department budget

  • Assist with organizing events and visitor coordination including scheduling factory tours

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree is required

  • 7+ years of office/administrative experience

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail is expected. The ideal candidate must also have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties and/or projects at one time.

  • Proficiency in computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Full working knowledge of Oracle iProcurement Module or similar system is desired.

  • In depth knowledge of procurement process and systems such as Oracle R12, Supplier Master File Maintenance is a plus.
