Intel Staff GPU Software Development Engineer in Folsom, California

Job Description

We are the graphics driver development team that focuses on enabling features on Intel Graphics architecture as well as enabling games on our hardware.

We are looking for a Staff GPU Software Development Engineer whose responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Developing software enabling new features on Intel GPUs.

Features spans the driver stack, from firmware and device drivers through APIs and the application layer, and may also include the tools, infrastructure, and technologies necessary to develop, profile, optimize, and productize Intel GPUs or graphics/GPGPU software solutions.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or any STEM-related field with over 7+ years of industry experience

7+ years of experience in the following:

Driver software or firmware development

Experience in C / C++ software product development, ability to understand HW and relevant specifications needed to develop/validate the software.

Experience writing or debugging applications using DirectX12 or Vulkan.

Experience with compute shaders, HLSL, and compute kernels for graphics and compute workloads.

Experience with developing applications on Windows

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in computer science, electrical or computer engineering, or any STEM-related field with over 6+ years of industry experience

Strong fundamentals in algorithms, design, and architecture.

Strong experience with graphic drivers, GPU hardware, and low-level GPU programming.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $162,041.00-$259,425.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
