Eurofins Laboratory Technician I - Eurofins Environment Testing - Air Toxics, Folsom, CA in Folsom, California

Logs and tracks the receipt and shipment of all samples into and out of the laboratory and verifies receipt of samples
Verifies that COC's are accurate, complete, and correct and seeks resolution for those that are not
Assists in preparing media and sampling kits for delivery to clients and ensures accurate and timely documentation of sample log in, labeling, and routing
Logs samples into Lab Management System daily to assign a lot number for tracking purposes and distributes paperwork to Project Managers
Perform other support duties as assigned
Specific job assignments may come from the laboratory lead
Repeated lifting and carrying boxes containing samples weighing up to 50 pounds
Technicians will also be responsible for proper disposal of samples and waste in accordance with all applicable procedures
Results driven - able to maintain and sustain company goals
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience in a laboratory setting
Must have excellent data entry skills, be detail oriented, accurate and organized
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Strong listening skills and patience to handle novel situations
Must be able to follow procedures listed in SOPs, have the ability to test materials, and maintain records
Effective communication skills, both written and oral
Must also have command of basic computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Consciousness of and a positive attitude toward quality control, safety, high production work and organized thought process
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Position is full-time, day shift with flexibility for overtime and weekend coverage as needed.
The compensation for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
