Intel GPU Software Development (DevOps) Engineer in Folsom, California

Job Description

The Graphics Automation Team is looking for a Senior Dev-Ops Engineer passionate about working on large scale distributed systems. Our team applies agile philosophy, continuous integration methodologies, advanced virtualization technologies, top source control management techniques, advanced infrastructure deployment methodologies including cloud solutions to cater and host the infrastructure needs of the Intel Graphics (GPU) organization that delivers Intel Graphics.

You will work with technologies like Ansible, Python, Bash, Databases (both SQL and NoSql), Azure, Kubernetes, etc.

Besides regular engineering duties you will get to:

  • Design and implement solutions for the cross geo distributed infrastructure

  • Solve complex problems and troubleshoot Infrastructure problems and issues

  • Communicate and deliver solutions across cross-geo teams

  • Focus on high-quality DevOps, automation/coding, and quickly learn and gain new knowledge while working in an agile team

  • Willingness to learn new topics, improve skills, influence processes to increase team's efficiency.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your education and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science or related field of engineering STEM degree and 5+ years of industry DevOps experience in all of the following:

  • Container orchestration and virtualization technologies

  • Cloud technologies and concepts

  • Automation skills in Python, Bash

  • Working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)/Ansible

  • Working in Linux environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science or related field of engineering STEM degree and 4+ years experience.

  • Designing and leading Infrastructure migrations of medium to large scale applications

  • Setting up and managing medium to large scale infrastructure clusters

  • Deploying and working with Kubernetes clusters

  • Working in cross-geo clusters with HA (High availability)

  • Experience in SQL/relational databases technologies

  • Handling and debugging critical infrastructure issues

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $144,501.00-$217,311.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
