Pinelake Church Administrative Assistant - Safety and Security (One Church Team) in Flowood, Mississippi

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Administrative Assistant is to support the Director of Safety and Security by planning, organizing, developing, and directing the administrative functions of the Safety and Security team and facilitating communications and assistance regarding safety and security needs across Pinelake's campuses and ministry areas. The Safety and Security team is responsible for the direction, strategy, resourcing, and coaching of all campus security and medical teams and serves to ensure safe and secure environments for attendees, servant leaders, staff, and property assets at Pinelake campuses, Pinelake sponsored camps, and One Church events.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.

  • Assists other staff members, when needed, to support teamwork and contribute to the successful completion of their objectives and strategies.

  • Basic personal responsibilities:

  • Faithfully supports the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.

  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

    SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, establishes, and supervises the implementation of all administrative functions for the Safety and Security team.

  • Runs background checks and assists in onboarding and compliance areas of OHP policies.

  • Facilitates clear communication and collaboration across ministry areas through reporting, data assimilation, project management, and consistent updates.

  • Provides support by scheduling and preparing for events, meetings, gatherings, and travel.

  • Oversees administrative functions for the Safety and Security Team associated with the One Church calendar, administrative purchases, and distribution of resources.

  • Responsible for assigning timelines for administrative functions and providing deliverables based on ministry deadlines.

  • Orders materials, equipment, and resources as requested.

  • Submits check requests. Tracks and balances monthly expenses and reports activity to the Director of Safety and Security.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree preferred. Two to four years of administrative experience is the minimum for competitive candidates. Applicable experience may substitute for portions of the educational framework.
