What You Will Do

Position Summary:

As a Sr. Lead CloudOps Engineer on Stryker’s Finance Data Science & Engineering team, you are set to lead at the convergence of cloud computing, AI, and financial analytics. This pivotal role centers on collaborating with finance data scientists, architects, and engineers to design and sustain an advanced Azure infrastructure crucial for deploying sophisticated AI/ML models.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting Stryker's financial analytics & data science strategy forward by implementing state-of-the-art DevOps and AI/MLOps practices. You'll be instrumental in building and maintaining cloud-native systems that not only meet current operational needs but also anticipate future trends in technology.

Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)

  • Work alongside finance professionals and data scientists to translate complex financial requirements into scalable cloud solutions, aligning with Stryker’s strategic financial objectives.

  • Implement and manage cloud-native solutions that interface with AI models to drive financial insights, enhancing capabilities in areas such as market analysis, risk management, and financial forecasting.

  • Oversee the performance and reliability of financial applications and databases in the cloud, ensuring they are configured for optimal operation within a secure, cost-effective, compliant framework.

  • Collaborate with AI leads to operationalize LLM models across a variety of scenarios.

  • Keep up to date with emergent technologies in the AI and cloud domain, own the long-term cloud roadmap.

  • Work closely with other cloud engineering teams throughout Stryker to harmonize cloud development standards & practices.

  • Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring effective resource allocation and timely delivery of solutions. Produce detailed technical documentation to support system deployments and ongoing operations.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of work experience required.

  • Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science or quantitative discipline preferred.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Managed Azure cloud infrastructure, including Databricks for big data and AI/ML in corporate finance.

  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for consistent resource management.

  • Implemented CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions, integrating DevOps for streamlined operations.

  • Set up Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor for optimal app and infrastructure performance, excelling in incident response.

  • Enhanced collaboration and automated ML model deployment, leveraging Databricks for training and production deployments, and performance monitoring.

  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, leading initiatives and improving processes and outcomes.

$112,800 - $239,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
