Opportunity Overview

As the Sales Director for the LATAM region, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth and operational excellence for Universal Robots. This leadership position will focus on expanding market presence across Mexico, Central America, and South America while building strong customer relationships and ensuring the team delivers on business objectives. You will help build a commercial organization that consistently outperforms the market by creating an environment where people bring their best every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the regional commercial and technical teams to achieve sales targets and ensure customer success.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with market dynamics and growth objectives.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance customer support and improve service delivery.

  • Build strong customer relationships, ensuring seamless customer experiences throughout the sales pipeline.

  • Support the development of local market insights to stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Customer Excellence, to deliver solutions that address customer needs.

  • Drive the development and improvement of the UR Care program by enhancing the existing local service hub and ensuring the support infrastructure meets evolving customer needs. This includes promoting the program, training teams, and integrating it into the customer service strategy to boost product longevity and engagement.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a focus on industrial automation or robotics.

  • Proven experience managing teams and driving sales growth across multiple countries.

  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, channel management, and financial oversight, including P&L management.

  • Ability to analyze market trends and data to make informed business decisions.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with an emphasis on mentorship and employee development.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in robotics or automation.

  • Proficient in data analysis to forecast and manage sales performance.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to encourage a culture of accountability and high performance within teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.

    Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.

  • Capable of navigating complex customer interactions and resolving conflicts.
