Job Description / Responsibilities:

Otis Americas has an opening for a Field Engineer – Support for New Equipment Skyrise Product. This position will be responsible for field support for Skyrise / Traditional installation & adjustment activities for Otis North America operations.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Provide field engineering support for field hardware & software issues on Skyrise / Traditional Product, E2 controls, and Compass systems.

  • Provide technical engineering assistance for startup and adjusting issues on Skyrise / Traditional Product

  • Provide troubleshooting assistance via phone and Facetime video direct with field employees.

  • Drive Skyrise / Traditional installation efficiency improvements.

  • Provide after installation product support.

  • Assist on field turn backs on Skyrise / Traditional projects and on resolution with the Florence and HRCLC factory.

  • Work closely with HRCLC engineering on design changes, and product upgrade instructions.

  • Participate and help develop training classes for RFE’s and field adjusters.

  • Develop new and update current Field Installation Manuals (FIM) as required.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 10+ years elevator field experience

  • 5+ years managing construction / Mod installations.

  • E2 Controls experience

  • Compass system experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with diverse backgrounds of all levels and disciplines.

  • Excellent oral and written communication as well as presentation skills

  • Must be able to facilitate change.

Position can be remote. 30% travel, including willingness to travel throughout the Americas.
