Job Title: Engineering Coordinator
Job Description
The Engineering Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Business Unit initiatives and metrics for Electrical and/or Mechanical Categories aligned with our elevator sub-systems. The role involves working with category strategies to achieve cost savings, collaborating with regional or global supply chains, and supporting business unit operations. This position requires updating applications, supporting RFQs, facilitating PPAP activities, and participating in new product introductions and engineering changes.
Responsibilities
Work with Business Unit category strategies to achieve Year/Year cost savings initiatives.
Collaborate with regional or global supply chain on NAA category strategy for synergies within sub-system and across commodities.
Collaborate with Business Partner Commodity Managers to assist with Gate Reviews, Material Disposition List Analysis, and aligning suppliers for sourcing plans.
Update applications such as ETQ, Teams Logs, GeN3 Core, Sch A/B RFQ on a daily basis.
Support RFQs (RFI/RFP as needed), total landed cost analysis, business case support, and ROI.
Facilitate and drive PPAP activities supporting Business Unit operations.
Support new product introductions, operations improvements, engineering changes, and work transitions.
Align and update MRP part and supplier data requirements, collaborating with BPCM, Buyer, and Materials Engineering.
Facilitate and participate in cross-functional team/IPD meetings as needed.
Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and report outs as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or greater preferred, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering.
Experience with CAD, design, Solidworks, and drawing database (Windchill).
Demonstrated project management, change management, and negotiating capabilities is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in meetings as needed. The role includes updating and using various applications and systems like ETQ, Teams Logs, GeN3 Core, and ERP/JDE. The position requires strong communication and team-working skills, with a focus on strategic planning and analytical capabilities. The work environment emphasizes continuous improvement, cost savings, and supplier performance management.
