Southern Graphic Systems Project Manager 2 in Florence, Kentucky

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide internal direction for artwork, prepress and image carriers specifically for flexographic plate and corrugated mounting work. As a key point of contact, you will help maintain and improve sgsco's relationship with the Client(s) and Printer(s). You will be coordinating packaging production via job instructions and schedules to complete jobs with a primary focus on image carrier production. Within sgsco, you will effectively communicate specifications for each piece of packaging artwork by utilizing our order entry system as well as being a resource for production departments when issues or questions arise. The Project Manager is the primary resource to Sales, and the key point of contact to the Production Department at sgsco.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results

  • Consult with Printer(s) and/or Client during the artwork development, pre-press execution and final print tool stages
  • Respond timely to requests of Client/ Printer / Sales and others
  • Document all critical and pertinent information that may impact quality
  • Verify technical supplied data is correct to supplied art
  • Manage timelines effectively and follow up diligently as needed
  • Understand Client and Printer process (deliverables, rework)
  • Order entry (ensure orders are complete and concise when delivered to production)

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements

This position requires the following knowledge and skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Some College/Associate's Degree preferred
  • 2-5 years' experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Flexo and Corrugated print is preferred
  • Experience in the print or production art industry
  • Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos
  • Ability to work independently after initial training

Education
Some college (preferred)
High School (required)

Experience
Experience in the print or production art industry (required)
2 - 5 years: Years experience preferred (preferred)
