JOB SUMMARYAs the Materials Group Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of approximately 14 individuals within the materials department. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the team to meet production demands and organizational objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of materials management processes.Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the materials team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to support production schedules and prevent stockouts.

Develop and implement procedures for the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials.

Collaborate with other departments, such as production, procurement, and logistics, to coordinate material flow and resolve any issues that may arise.

Train, mentor, and provide guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to support their professional development.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the materials department.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Generate reports and analyze data related to materials management activities to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Act as a liaison between the materials team and other departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.Expectations:
