Summary:
A machine tool builder
is
responsible for assembling and constructing complex machinery, including mechanical components, electrical systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems, by following blueprints and technical specifications, often working closely with engineers to ensure the final product functions correctly and meets customer requirements

key duties include reading blueprints, fitting and assembling parts, performing quality checks, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Must have knowledge of building and assembling machinery
- Must be able to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Must have basic machining skills
- Must be able to use hand and power tools
- Precision measurement- Ability to use precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy.
- Problem-solving- Critical thinking skills to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Teamwork- Collaboration with engineers, other builders, and quality inspectors to ensure project success.
- Identifying and resolving mechanical issues that may arise during assembly or testing, collaborating with engineers to find solutions.
- Must have knowledge of tool functions GD&T
- Must have fundamental knowledge of GD&T
- High level interpersonal skills
- Fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints, build standards, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction.
- Aligns components for assembly manually or with hoists and cranes
- Must have own tool box
- Mechanical Aptitude-Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including gears, bearings, shafts, and power transmission systems.
