Hunterdon Health Care System Director Physical Therapy Services in Flemington, New Jersey
- Supervision of senior staff to assist in managing the day-to-day operations of all Physical and Occupational Therapy services. Provides clinical direction regarding patient care and assists in program development, establishment of policies and procedures, performance appraisals, and assists in promoting physical and occupational therapy in the community. Completes budgets, recruits new staff, monitors staff productivity, etc. May treat patients on an “as needed” basis.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Maintain effective level of staffing to meet volume demands and productivity standards.
Assists in recruiting, interviewing and recommendation for new hires, recommends promotion of qualified employees, completes performance appraisals of senior staff, and oversees PA of all staff.
Responsible for budget preparation and implementation and the approval of equipment and supplies purchases.
Completes data collection for performance improvement studies and monthly statistics.
Promotes PT/OT within the organization as active participant in organizational committees and in the community assisting with promotional and marketing activities.
Provides the vision and strategy for programs and services.
Provides patient care utilizing evidence-based treatment techniques, completing all necessary documentation to assure continuity of care and maximize reimbursement.
Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy
Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Three to five years experience in supervision and management.
License, Registry or Certification:
Current New Jersey State Licensure
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate PT instrumentation. Functional ability in PC applications. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
