As a Head of Engineering Tools and Process Architecture , you will lead a team of engineers that will define, develop, and maintain a state-of-the-art engineering tool chain and its integration to PLM solution and Engineering Process Architecture to enable the delivery of next generation instrument and software projects for complex in-vitro diagnostics products. You will also serve as a Subject Matter expert for PLM/ALM Tools and engineering processes. Your mission will be to cultivate a culture of quality and efficiency and will work with a global network of professionals across Siemens Healthineers diversified businesses and a network of software providers that deliver customizations to the engineering toolchain. You will:

  • Lead development and maintenance of a comprehensiveengineering tool chain including CAD, CAE and CAM and their integrationinto the PLM systems.

  • Drive system and process upgrades includingadoption of tools such as Model Based Systems Engineering and Simulationdriven development.

  • Lead activities to define developmentprocesses and align them to tools to improve efficiency and productivity

  • Lead solution engineers responsible for customizationof tools, operational maintenance and interface to enterprise-wide toolowners and software providers

  • Lead continuous improvement of tools, processesand procedures for engineering product development and sustainingengineering

  • Own creation of a culture of quality,transparency and execution accountability within the organization

  • Minimum of 10 years of design engineeringexperience with broad exposure to CAD, CAE and CAM tools. SystemsEngineering experience with requirements management and PLM will be astrong plus

  • Experience with CAD Modeling in NX and PLMsystems, Teamcenter highly desired

  • Experience in NX assembly management, filestructure, feature-based modeling, and data exchange methods

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience leadingteams with exposure to engineering process architecture and PLM/ALMsoftware tools

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical orSoftware Engineering or a related field (or foreign degree equivalent).

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of technical solutiondelivery with both hardware and software projects

  • Working knowledge of global medical device regulations,requirements, and standards, such as ISO13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366-1, andEuropean Medical Device Regulations (MDR) 2017/745 as they apply toengineering development software tools

  • Expert knowledge of Agile ecosystems such asTFS/ADS.

  • Expert knowledge of PLM tools such asTeamcenter

  • Working knowledge of technologies in the IVDindustry

  • Approximately 10% travel may be required.
