POSITION SUMMARY:

Resting at 7,000 feet and surrounded by the San Francisco Peaks, the scenic city of Flagstaff remains an important distribution site for large manufacturers like Nestlé Purina. Just a stone's throw from downtown, where the city's culture comes to life, we get to experience the best of both worlds: the city and the mountains. Annually, the Nestlé Purina team in Flagstaff proudly mass manufactures 280,000 tons of dry pet food from our Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan® brands. Together, underneath 70,000 square feet of solar panels, we draw nearly 12 million kilowatt hours of clean emission-free solar electricity.

If you are working toward a career in Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related field, we have an exciting internship opportunity with Nestlé Purina in Flagstaff, Arizona. Learn alongside the industry professionals on our Manufacturing Excellence team to gain valuable real-world experience in a highly automated and complex pet food manufacturing facility. Whether your focus is Continuous Improvement, Data Analytics, or Process Engineering, this internship will challenge you to expand your skill set and make an impact.

• Participate in Industrial Performance activities including pulling and analyzing various performance metrics and reports using Nestlé systems and portals.

• Support Continuous Improvement projects through data and reporting needs.

• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

• Help determine and fulfill Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) activities across teams to drive results.

Requirements

• Must be a college student of Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related field who is preferably entering junior or senior year in the fall of 2024.

• Must be available to sustain a one-year minimum internship commitment (spring 2024 to spring 2025.)

• Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week on-site at the Flagstaff manufacturing facility.

Other

• Power BI, SAP, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar is preferred, but not required.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $27.06. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
