POSITION SUMMARY
Develops new employees into successful entry level Laminators. Manages the day to day needs of the Lamination technical training school and the trainees within the class. Provide hands-on vocational training to both individuals and groups of trainees. Provides technical training to industry best practices and Boston Whaler standards. Coaches and develops trainees to become productive members of their operations teams while they participate in Lamination training.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads a 4-week technical training school that teaches Boston Whaler standard practices and develops vocational skills through hands-on instruction
Teaches safe chemical handling and disposal practices in alignment with Boston Whaler standards
Maintains area supplies and resources for technical training school
Provides timely and effective developmental feedback to trainees while they participate in training school
Communicates effectively with production supervisors and area leaders on trainee performance and development
Trains to and develop Boston Whaler standard processes
Coordinates with QA Engineers to support product & process improvements through corrective training.
QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Education
REQUIRED
2+ Years of Lamination experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to identify fiberglass defects
Ability to provide corrective instructional training in a constructive and positive environment
Mentor status required
PREFERRED
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt trained
Experience with other fiberglass manufacturing processes including but not limited to; Mold Repair, Gel Coating, Finishing
DESIRABLE
Marine related experience
Competency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
Experience writing policy and procedures within a Quality Management Systems
