Nuvance Health Registered Nurse - Surgical Services, Part Time Days in Fishkill, New York

Description

Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care. Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current license as Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN or related field preferred.

  • Experience: Two years of related previous experience in PACU/PREOP required, previous surgery center experience preferred.

  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Specialty certification preferred.

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, their significant other(s), surgical center staff, physicians/surgeons, and other health care workers.

  • Computer skills.

  • Regular patient contact.

  • Other Contacts: Regular contact with families, patients, and the general public.

Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
