VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician Trainer in Fishers, Indiana

VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Cente r is looking to add an enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Technician Trainer to our growing Training Team!

The Veterinary Technician Trainer will help ensure that our staff receives comprehensive and consistent training across all departments, empowering them to succeed in their roles and grow in their careers.

  • Facilitating, monitoring, and documenting training activities

  • Support hospital team members

  • Participate in staff and training meetings

  • Work on the floor alongside student assistants

  • Work in our specialty departments to train future hires at entry level

  • Work through training protocols with the Training Coordinator

  • Help facilitate new hire orientation/onboarding

  • Train new hires on the company policies and procedures

  • Gather and evaluate information from employees on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training

  • Inform employee of scheduled training and track their progress

  • Participate in training wet labs

  • May develop training classes at the request of leadership with assistance of the appropriate department to meet the needs of the facility

  • Focused on student assistants, kennel assistants, tiers 1-3 with a strong focus on entry level technical skills

You will work alongside our Technical Trainers, Medical Director, Hospital Manager, and Department Supervisors to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of specialty and emergency veterinary procedures and protocols.

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT

  • 2+ years of veterinary experience

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to engage and motivate others in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for teaching and professional development.

Compensation: Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. The position requires scheduling flexibility.
