About the Position:

First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the retail banking/financial industry. As a Relationship Banking Intern at First Internet Bank, you will have the opportunity to work closely with all members of the Relationship Banking department completing a variety of tasks. The Relationship Banking Intern will work in a supported learning environment to develop an understanding of the deposit application process, and acquire comprehensive knowledge of the banking industry regulations and best practices. This Internship is a paid position.

What You Will Do:

• Assist with customer engagement and uncover opportunities to enhance the customer experience
• Develop a thorough understanding of the deposit application process, products, and rates
• Acquire internal system knowledge to efficiently collect, analyze, maintain, and communicate essential information with internal Relationship Banking Department Staff
• Conduct product and service surveys by researching industry trends and competitive analysis
• Assist in development and delivery of training programs
• Participate in events committee meetings
• Provide project support to the Relationship Banking team
• Set up work stations for new employees
• Performs other duties as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Current Sophomore or Juniorpursuing a college degree in business, sales, or a related field
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Self-Starter with the aptitude to take initiative
• Strong public speaking skills required. Ability to make effective presentations before an audience and imparting knowledge and key information to small, medium, and large employee groups

Working Conditions/Demands:

• Professional office setting.
• Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
• Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
