Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full Time Board Certified OBGYN MD/DO with 2 years experience for our new OB Hospitalist program.

Schedule: (13-14) 12-14 hour shifts/month. Position may be split into (2) .5 FTE's as well.

The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for:

  • Management of labor up to and including delivery

  • Urgent postpartum care

  • Care of GYN patients admitted or consulted on, including postoperative patients as requested by generalist physicians

  • Caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room, including GYN consults

  • Triage of all patients who present to the unit or contact the on call service

  • Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested

  • Level II maternity center

  • Level II Special Care Nursery

  • 24hr in house anesthesia

  • rapidly growing suburban market

  • Call Schedule: dedicated on-site call coverage with frequency and responsibilities as noted above

Projected 350 deliveries/year.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
