VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is expanding its Emergency & Critical Care Service and is in search of a Veterinary Technician to become a valuable part of our Overnight Team !

Our Emergency and Critical Care Service:

As a vital member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch emergency care to animals requiring assistance. Join us on this fulfilling adventure of making a real difference in the lives of animals in need!

Key Responsibilities: The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

Triage: Quickly assess patient condition, including vital signs and owner information.

Venipuncture and IV Placement: Skilled in venipuncture and IV catheter placement.

Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed treatments and medications.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with all hospital staff for optimal patient care.

ICU Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor patients and report changes promptly.

Client Education: Provide clear discharge instructions to pet owners..

Diagnostic Imaging: Assist with capturing diagnostic images.

Laboratory Procedures: Run diagnostics and notify veterinarians of results.

Blood Transfusion: Handle collection, administration, and reactions.

Oxygen Administration: Administer oxygen as needed.

Assist Doctors: Support veterinarians during exams and procedures.

Compensation: The starting range is determined by your skill set and years of experience in the field. There are opportunities for financial growth available. We also provide a shift differential.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, with rotating weekends. 3rd/Overnight Shift.

We offer a team approach to veterinary medicine where specialists work together to provide the most advanced care possible for every patient utilizing the newest diagnostic equipment and therapeutic techniques.
