About the Position:
First IB provides exciting Internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the financial/operations field. This internship is a paid opportunity. The objective for the role in Operations is to provide experience and an overview of support and servicing responsibilities as it pertains to lending or any operational support needs.
What You Will Do:
- Assist with projects and process implementation by working on initiatives assigned to Operations.
- Train on each role within the Operations team to gain a working knowledge of each responsibility.
- Work as a team member to support other Loan Operations associates, as needed.
- Review and investigate manual processes to determine if automation or alternative methods are available.
- Assist with procedure review and updating. As Knowledge First is develop, assistance of moving approved procedures to this new database will be key.
- Customer service is first in Operations.Gain a working knowledge of the department to assist with providing quality service to internal/external clients of the bank.
- Imaging documents to build a loan file in INFO ACCESS
- Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
- Lend assistance with audits which involves preparing INFO ACCESS for loan file review and/or pulling loan files for on-site audits.
What We're Looking For:
- Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in a business-related field
- Excellent organization and data management
- Excel Spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills
- Superb communications skills
- Desire to work in Operations management
Working Conditions/Demands:
- Professional office setting.
- Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
- Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
