About the Position:
First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the commercial real estate industry. As a Finance Intern on the Credit Administration team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with members of the Appraisal Review team in order to complete a variety of tasks.
What You Will Do:
- Develop an understanding of Commercial Appraisal reports [scope, market data, site and improvement descriptions, highest and best use, approaches to value (cost, sales and income), reconciliation of value]
- Work with the Appraisal Review team to gain an understanding of the commercial appraisal process - appraisal bidding, engagement, review, tracking, data management, independence
- Interact with multiple lines of business involving commercial real estate - Single Tenant Lease (STL), Acquisition Development and Construction (ADC), Commercial and Industrial (CandI), Small Business Administration (SBA)
- Exposure to other Credit Administrations functions of the Bank
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
- Current Sophomore or Junior with demonstrated interest in Commercial Real Estate
- Ongoing pursuit of a college degree preferably in business, finance, commercial real estate or a related field
- Efficient with Excel, Word, Spreadsheets
- Detail-oriented
- Multi-tasking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions/Demands:
- Professional office setting.
- Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
- Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
