First Internet Bank of Indiana Facilities Assistant in Fishers, Indiana

About the Position:

As the Facilities Assistant you will work closely with the Vice President, Facilities/Physical Security Officer to assist in managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of Bank property, including building(s) and equipment. You will help promote a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for employees, tenants, and visitors. You will assist in overseeing properties owned and leased by the Bank (or its parent company).

What You Will Do:

  • Plans, budgets, and schedules modifications, repairs and preventive maintenance to facilities and equipment, including but not limited to HVAC, elevators, lighting systems, etc.
  • Facilitates rental process for First Internet Banks Tenant facilities, including the Backyard
  • Assists Vice President, Facilities/Physical Security Officer in supervising construction projects, and acts as a secondary point of contact for contractors and property/building management
  • Assists Vice President, Facilities/Physical Security Officer in overseeing building space allocation and layout and facility expansion
  • Assists Vice President, Facilities/Physical Security Officer in duties as Physical Security Officer, by frequently reviewing and making/updating security recommendations, and working with the Director of Security Operations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What Were Looking For:

  • Prior experience in a facilities or related role preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a timely manner
  • Interpersonal skills to interact positively and effectively with team members at all levels of business and management
  • Solid background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in facilities management, maintenance, and/or construction
  • Ability to think through problems - including hidden problems - and explore and implement solutions
  • Drive to update job knowledge and discipline by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

Working Conditions/Demands:

  • Professional office setting
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Many essential functions of the position cannot be performed remotely and require on-site work in order to maintain facilities and administrative tasks while also providing physical security and maintenance support
  • Occasionally requires travel to other properties owned or leased by the Bank or its parent company
  • Occasionally requires extended work hours before or after the banks hours of operation, including being on-call
  • Occasionally ascends/descends ladders or other equipment
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
  • Other common parameters entail climbing stairs, walking, squatting, crawling, or kneeling
