Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a Accounting Clerk . The Accounting Clerk will perform entry-level accounting work with a focus on our Food and Beverage purchasing . This position will be assisting in general accounting and bookkeeping functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews , classifies, and enters accounts payable invoices.
Verify accounts payable checks before distribution.
Sign off on accounts receivable invoices before distribution.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements .
Assist s Accounting Manager in preparation of monthly financial statements.
Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging.
Perform bank reconciliation and account analysis.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules .
Serve as backup for other duties in finance department.
Performs o ther duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a ccounting or finance role .
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrate knowledge of accepted financial and auditing procedures.
Strong math skills; high aptitude for figures
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational ability
Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required .
Detail oriented
Extensive knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
