Job Description

Responsible for selling the company’s chromatography and pump products; primary responsibility may include finding, generating and developing new relationships in order to sell the company’s products to end-users. Assesses and demonstrate potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts. Creates awareness and demand for company products.

Customers may be located within the Midwest, covering the following states: MO, IA, WI, IL, MN, ND, SD, NE, KS. Works remotely in home office environment under general supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Hit target for your territory for each fiscal year.

  • Develop and maintain a territory sales plan that focuses on key accounts and sales stimulus activities including planned seminars, product shows, and mailings.

  • Profile and penetrate key accounts by developing account profiles.

  • Understand customer organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs.

  • Master the basic features and benefits of the primary products

  • Identify and sell into new and existing applications for Teledyne products.

  • Demonstrate basic operation of our products.

  • Effectively utilize sales resources including applications engineers, channel partners, inside sales representatives, and customer service representatives.

  • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience selling chromatography equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
